Hanoi (VNA) – The 5th Hanoi cherryblossom festival will be held in the heart of the capital city from March27-30, according to representatives of the municipal Department of Culture,Sports and Tourism.

The 2020 edition will include many activities bearing both Vietnameseand Japanese identities. Visitors will have a chance to enjoy the beauty of theJapanese typical flower and try their hands on the country’s tea ceremony, kimonotraditional dress, calligraphy, photos of festivals and landscapes, along withtechnology applications in service of the daily life.

Besides, there will be many performances of Japanese arts likeyosokoi dance, kimono shows and karate martial arts. They will be held along withVietnamese traditional arts.

Within the framework of the festival, many conferences willbe held to promote investment and tourism between Hanoi and Japan.

The annual event is expected to help popularise the image,culture, country and people of Japan to the people of Hanoi. It will also serveas a chance for the two sides to exchange experiences and cooperate in thefields of culture, health care, education, tourism, economy and environment./.
