Administrative procedure reform council’s operation scrutinised

Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Minister’s Advisory Council for Administrative Proc🎀edure Reform gathered on February 19 to review its operation in 2015, and set forth tasks for 2016.

Do Thai Ha, the council’s Deputy Secretary General, said that last year, the council focused on studying and proposing initiatives on renewing administrative regulations related to production, business and people’s lives, as well as assessing the implementation of administrative reforms at ministries, sectors and localities.
The council secretariat also coordinated with relevant agencies to review administrative principles and procedures in importing secondhand equipment, managing foreign workers, selling collateral and handling bad debt. The implementation of administrative procedure reform in the fields of taxation and customs was also the main task of the council in 2015, Ha stated.
For 2016 tasks, the head of the council, Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong, stressed the need to continue assessing the implementation of reforms at ministries and localities, especially the Government’s resolution on key tasks and measures to improve business environments and increase national competitiveness. He asked council members to coordinate with relevant ministries and sectors in implementing a master plan on simplifying administrative procedures, citizen’s papers and data related to resident management during 2013-2020.-VNA
