Inthe latter event, Vietnam will compete in four of the sixdisciplines including the women's and men's singles, mixed doubles andtrio.
Internationally recognised Vu Ba Dong, Tran Thu Ha and Nguyen Tien Phuong will be Vietnamese representatives.
Southeast Asian Games champions Ha and Dong pocketed a gold medal inthe mixed doubles' event at the recent Suzuki World Cup held in Tokyo ,Japan .
Later grouping with Phuong, they managed to win a silver medal in the trio event.
In the age group event, Vietnam will have representatives to compete in both the 12-14 and 15-17 divisions.
There will be more than 370 athletes representing 36 nations and six continents taking part in the tournaments.
The championships serve as a qualifying event for the ninth WorldGames, to be held in Cali, Colombia, in 2013, where the discipline isone of the most popular competitions.-VNA
