AFC 37 showdown brings top MMA fighters to Vietnam

As the first event of 2025 for Angel’s Fighting Championship (AFC), one of Asia’s leading MMA leagues, AFC 37 featured seven matches, including two Vietnamese fighters Quang Van Minh and Le Van Tuan, who have made their mark in domestic competitions.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau (VNA) ♎– AFC 37 Ho Tram Showdown - an international mixed martial arts (MMA) event - took place in the Grand Ho Tram Strip resort on March 22, bringing together 14 professional fighters from China, the Republic of Korea, Brazil, and Russia.

Hosted by the Ba Ria-Vung Tau provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Vietnam MMA Federation and Cocky Buffalo Company, the event marked a key milestone for MMA in Vietnam.
As the first event of 2025 for Angel’s Fighting Championship (AFC), one of Asia’s leading MMA leagues, AFC 37 featured seven matches, including two Vietnamese fighters Quang Van Minh and Le Van Tuan, who have made their mark in domestic competitions. Fighters competed in a knockout format, following regulations set by the Vietnam MMA Federation and AFC. Winners received commemorative medals, while championship titleholders were awarded AFC championship belts. Beyond a sporting event, AFC 37 featured live performances from the Republic of Korea's artists. The event not only provided a platform for Vietnamese fighters to compete internationally but also helped showcase Vietnamese martial arts on a global stage./.

🏅 Vietnamese culture takes centre stage in Korean city

The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.

📖 Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee
