The goal, the outcome of a joint work between defender Nguyen ThanhNhan and Dung, sent Vietnam to the quarterfinals of the ongoing AFC U23 Championship 2022, the body twitted.
U23 Vietnam defeated their Malaysian rivals 2-0 to earn aticket to the knockout round.
At the just-ended 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31)in Vietnam in May, Dung’s header helped Vietnam defeat Thailand to win the gold medal./.
U23 Vietnam drew 1-1 against defending champions the Republic of Korea (RoK) in their second Group C game of the 2022 AFC U23 Asian Cup on June 5, despite going behind with less than thirty minutes left.

The ambassador noted that among the 300,000 Vietnamese residing in the RoK, around 3,000 are living in Pyeongtaek and contributing actively to the local economy. Ho expressed his hope that the local authorities will continue support the overseas Vietnamese community in the city.
