- President To Lam on June 26 asked the professional technique arm of the People's Public Security forces to develop itself into a strong, elite and modern one with state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure to safeguard national security and ensure social order in the new situation.

Attending a ceremony in Hanoi to mark the professional technique force's 70th founding anniversary (July 1, 1954-2024), President Lam affirmed that the Party, State, Central Public Security Party Commission and Ministry of Public Security acknowledge the force’s devotion and the achievements it has carved out over the past seven decades to assure national security as well as a peaceful and happy life for the people. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on June 26 met Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), on the sidelines of the 15th WEF’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2024 in Dalian city, China’s Liaoning province.

The PM spoke highly of Schwab’s vision, and the WEF’s important role in promoting dialogues and cooperation globally, especially public-private partnership. Read full story

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Prof. Klaus Schwab on June 26 co-chaired a dialogue with leaders of about 20 major WEF economic groups on the sidelines of the 15th WEF Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian city, China's Liaoning province.

The dialogue, organised in the form of a working breakfast, focused on seeking ways to strengthen cooperation to promote Vietnam’s economic growth and discussing partnership in digital transformation, high technology, green transition, and the role of Vietnam in the global supply chain. - Legislators voted to adopt the resolutions on piloting some specially-designed mechanisms and policies to develop the central localities of Nghe An and Da Nang on June 26 at the ongoing seventh sitting of the15th National Assembly (NA).

Before voting, Chairman of the NA’s Finance-Budget Committee Le Quang Manh briefed the NA on the adjustments that NA Standing Committee had made to the draft resolutions based on NA deputies’ opinions during discussions in groups and in plenary sessions. Read full story

- Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung and US Under Secretary of State Jose Fernandez co-chaired the first Vietnam-US Economic Dialogue in Washington D.C. on June 25.

-Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang hosted a reception for Deputy Director of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission of China Bianba Zhaxi in Hanoi on June 25, during which Quang expressed his belief that the visit will help foster relations between the two countries in the field.

He highlighted the positive development of Vietnam-China relations and efforts to implement high-level agreements, stressing Vietnam is preparing for the upcoming meeting of the Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation in Beijing this September. Read full story

- The Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) is the only Vietnamese representative to join the 17th Global Dairy Congress that takes place in London, the UK from June 25-26.

- A tourism promotion programme was held by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) and the Vietnamese Embassy in France on June 25 as part of the activities to promote Vietnamese tourism in Europe.
