Airways, railway offer extra services during upcoming holidays

Low cost carrier Vietjet Air said it plans to increase flights to serve the expected rise in demand from passengers during the Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1).

Hanoi (VNA) – Low cost carrierVietjet Air said it plans to increase flights to serve the expected rise indemand from passengers during the Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May1). 

The airway will add200 flights, with 46,000 seats, to domestic popular tourismdestinations such as Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Da Nang, and DaLat, and international destinations, including the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China) and Thailand.

Jetstar Pacific will alsoraise an additional 20 flightsper day to serve the growing demand, an increase of 20 percent from thesame period last year.

The two carriers saidthey have ensured sufficient ground services and flight crews for the holidays.

Meanwhile, the HanoiRailway Transport JSC said it will add 29 passenger trains and offers 15,172 tickets, including 6,804sleeper tickets and 8.368 seater tickets.

Eight trains will beadded to serve the Hanoi – Vinh route from April 24-28, and another eight forthe Vinh – Hanoi route from April 30 – May 1,with 4,652 tickets each way.

Two additional trainswill be added for each way, from Hanoi to Da Nang and vice verse, with 844tickets.

Two will beadditionally deployed to serve the Hanoi – Dong Hoi route on April 27 with 788tickets, while additional three will be launched for Dong Hoi – Hanoi routefrom April 30 – May 1, with 1,182 tickets.

Similarly, twoadditional passenger trains will serve the Hanoi – Thanh Hoa route with 906tickets and three for the Thanh Hoa – Hanoi route with 1,018 tickets.

The company alsoplans to launch additional 27 trains from Saigon to Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, QuyNhon and vice verse from April 26 to May 1, with around 13,000 tickets, ofwhich 17 trains will serve the HCMCity – Nha Trang route, each way.

Discounts of 5-7 percent of normalprices will be offered for groups of 20 ore more and their tourguides from May 24 to August 12.
