Hanoi (VNA) –Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has urged ambassadors andheads of Vietnamesediplomatic agencies abroad for the 2017-2020 term to work hard to promote theimage of Vietnam to the world at a meeting with them on July 14.

Stressing thesignificance of State diplomacy and the important role of ambassadors, heexpressed hope that the diplomats will foster Vietnam’s relations with theirhost countries in all fields, including economy, trade, investment, educationand tourism.

They should alsointroduce improvements in Vietnam’s investment environment in order to attractmore investments, he asked.

The PM held that the soundexternal policy that Vietnam is implementing is afavourable condition for thediplomats to fulfil their assigned talks.

Highlighting the hugeoverseas Vietnamese community of 4.5 million, he said that ambassadors and headsof Vietnamese diplomatic agencies abroad should provide all possible supportfor expatriates to help settle their lives in the host countries and looktowards the homeland.


At the meeting, thediplomats vowed to exert every effort to maintain and promote internalsolidarity and complete their tasks, contributing to bolstering partnershipsbetween Vietnam and the host countries, promoting the image of Vietnam to theworld and further enhancing the country’s position in the world arena.-VNA
