Amendments of denunciation, competition law discussed

Hanoi (VNA) – The 14th National Assembly (NA) convened itsplenary session on May 24, with debates focusing on amendments of the Law onDenunciations and Competition Law.

Most of the deputies agreed on the amendments of the Law on Denunciations whichwas earlier presented by Chairman of the National Assembly’s Law CommitteeNguyen Khac Dinh.

They also shared their views on the forms of denunciations; rights andresponsibilities of the denunciators, accused people and denouncers; protectionof denunciators and other related issues.

In the afternoon session, the NA members discussed the amendments of the CompetitionLaw.

They made recommendations on the issues of application of legal regulations onlitigation, identification of the rights and responsibilities of the NationalCompetition Committee and inspection agencies, among others.

Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh took the floor to clarify issuesraised by the deputies.

On May 25, the deputies will discuss the evaluation of the implementation ofthe socio-economic development and state budget plan in 2017, the execution ofthe socio-economic development and state budget plan in the first months of2018, and the 2016 state budget balance sheet. -VNA
