According to Pisan Pongsapitch, DeputySecretary-General of the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity andFood Standards (ACFS), the cross-border trade of agriculturalcommodities and food between Thailand and its four neighbouringcountries of Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia has atendency to grow in both value and volume thanks to the on-goingregional collaboration in reducing trade barriers.
He saidThailand mainly exports vegetables, sugar, chicken and pork meat tothese countries while importing beans, corn for animal feed and shrimpfrom them.
