Seoul (VNA) – The ASEAN-Korea Centre (AKC)held a ceremony to launch the ASEAN Culture and Tourism Pavilion in Seoul, theRepublic of Korea (RoK), on November 4.
The opening event was attended by AKC Secretary GeneralLee Hyuk, Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Nguyen Vu Tung, Singaporean Ambassadorto the RoK Eric Teo, Honorary Ambassador of the ASEAN-Korea Centre Keum Nana,and Korean singer Kim Jun-su.
The pavilion is set to open to the public until November 25 with a wide range of handicraftproducts, fabric, furniture, books and digital devices on display to introducecultures of ASEAN nations from different angles. Visitors are provided anopportunity to experience flashback memories about Southeast Asian nations fromcolour, scent and sound in the event.
It forms part of the “ASEAN Culture and Tourism Showcase2020” which presents tourist attractions, cultures and authentic delicacies of ten ASEAN countries. An ASEAN Tourism PromotionBooth & Photo Exhibition, Programme “Best Cooking Secrets” and publicationof “ASEAN Culinary Art Book” will also be held under the programme./.
