DirectorGeneral of the Lao E-Government Centre Thavisak Manodham said the Ministry ofPosts and Telecommunications of Laos, as the leading implementing agency ofactivities, was aiming to create harmonised interoperability across differentcloud platforms adopted by ASEAN member states. Hehighlighted the need to establish technology interoperability within the regionbecause if not addressed, the skillset and technology gap would only continueto expand. Japaneseexperts from both public and private sectors also shared their insights on thelatest status of cloud computing in Japan and how to align policies andregulations to support the realisation of the interoperability and enhance theregional cloud platform environment.-VNA
