Hundreds of students of the NationalUniversity of Laos participated in the exchange with the writers who come from Brunei,Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
The writers described reading books as the keyto open the door of development, saying reading equips people with moreknowledge and understanding about the world.
As part of the programme, workshops andexchanges will be held on the reading and use of the Lao language for both Laoand foreign students.
