Vietnam ’s Le ThiBang came third after losing 0-3 to Indian rival Hmangte ChungneijangMery Kom in the women’s flyweight (48-51kg) semifinal.
Meanwhile, in the women’s light (57-60kg) semifinal, Luu Thi Duyen came third, losing to China ’s Jin Junhua.
At the same time, Vietnamese taekwondo athletes had an unsuccessfulstart when both Nguyen Trong Cuong and Duong Thanh Tam were defeated bytheir competitors from the RoK and Iran , respectively. Nguyen ThanhThao also failed to secure herself a place in the semifinals afterlosing to Taiwan ’s Huang Un Wen 5-13.

Nguyen Trong Nha Uyen has made history for Vietnam’s dancesport by clinching a bronze medal in the solo Latin category at the WDSF World Championship 2025 in Germany.
