The team, which wasranked third during the 2009 competition, showcased a spectacularperformance and beat Poland's Surex Firma Rodzinna on the closing nightto win the first prize on April 29.
Poland's Surex Firma Rodzinna, which took part in the competition for the first time, was ranked second.
HostsDa Nang-Vietnam and the United States' team—Pyrotecnico—who hadperformed on the first night on April 28, tied for the third prize.
Newcomer South Africa was awarded the encouragement prize by the organising committee at the closing ceremony.
The competition had attracted teams from five continents, namely South Africa, the United States, Australia, Poland and Vietnam.
In2013, the US team Melrose Pyrotechnics had bagged the first spot.Canada's Davis Whysall took the top prize in 2008, while China's LiuyangDancing won in 2009. France's Jacques Couturier Organisation had won in2010, and Italy's Parente had won twice in 2011 and 2012.-VNA

The U23 competition will run from June 16 to 22, followed by the U17 event from June 23 to 28, while athletes competing in the U23 category will undergo weight and skill checks ahead of the matches starting June 18, while similar checks for U17 athletes will take place before June 23.
