Can Tho (VNA) – The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Women’s Beach VolleyballTour 2019 kicked off in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on April 19.

This year’s event gathers 21 teams from 11 countriesand territories, namely Australia, China, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Japan, NewZealand, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Vanuatu, and host Vietnam.

They are divided into four groups, and the besttwo teams of each group will advance to quarter-finals.

The top four teams of the tournament willrepresent Asia at the Beach Volleyball World Championships in Germany laterthis year.

The AVC Women’s Beach Volleyball Tour 2019 isheld at the beach volleyball area of the Can Tho sports complex in Ninh Kieudistrict. It will last through April 22.

This is the fourth time Can Tho has hosted thisevent so far.-VNA
