Badminton player Trang climbs up in world rankings

With26,890 points, the top female athlete of the country climbed two ranksto No. 46 from her position last month, according to the Badminton WorldFederation (BWF).

In addition, Le Thu Huyen also went up threerankings to No. 206, while Pham Nhu Thao made a jump of six rankings toNo. 250, and An Le Ha Trang ranks No. 329, the lowest among the playersin the top 400.

In the men's rankings, best Vietnamese player,Nguyen Tien Minh, remains at the 23rd position with 40.340 points, whilehis teammate, Pham Cao Cuong, went up to rank No. 220.

In thejunior rankings, Vo Thien Bao is at No. 89 among the male players,becoming the only one from Vietnam to make it to the top 100.

Among the women, Nguyen Thuy Linh stands at the 41st position.

The BWF charts its new rankings every week. The next one is expected to be released on February 25.-VNA
