The nine-day tournament wasco-organised by the Vietnam Cycling and Sport Motors Federation and the BinhDuong Water Supply Sewerage-Environment Co., Ltd (Biwase), attracting over 90cyclists of 18 domestic and foreign teams from Japan, Thailand, the Republic ofKorea, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, the Netherlands, BiwaseBinh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, An Giang Plant Protection SJC, Can Tho, VinhLong, and Dong Thap lottery company.
Cyclists will compete in ninestages, riding 841km through cities and provinces, including Dong Nai, LamDong, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Binh Duong.
The total cash prizes amount to morethan 400 million VND (17,700 USD), including 45 million VND for the yellowjersey winner.
Over the recent years, theorganising board has invited many foreign cycling teams to Vietnam to helpimprove skills of domestic cyclists in preparation for the national cyclingtournaments in 2018 and the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games30).-VNA

Pham Thi Thuy Lien took her first stage win at the National Women’s Open Cycling Tournament on July 13 and jumps to the second place on the overall ranking.
