Hanoi (VNA) – Georges Bizet’s acclaimed opera Carmen will beperformed at Municipal Theatre of Ho Chi Minh City from July 20-21.
Written in1875, Carmen is a story of love, jealousy and freedom.
It will bechoreographed by People’s Artist Kim Quy and performed by Vietnamese artistsNguyen Thu Trang, Nguyen Luong Hoa and Thach Hieu Lang for nearly three hours.
Inparticular, dances “Falling Angels” and “Depaysement” will be performed beforethe opera.

Characters from the popular opera Carmen have performed as contemporary Vietnamese people by artists from Vietnam National Opera and Ballet at Hanoi Opera House on November 23 and 24.
