HCM City (VNA) – The Ho ChiMinh City General Publishing House has launched the 11th Book Week to celebrateits 40th anniversary.

The Book Week is hosted at three areas,including General Publishing House’s bookstore No 1 on District 1’s Nguyen Thi MinhKhai Street, General Publishing House’s bookstore No 2 on District 4’s NguyenTat Thanh Street and booth M01 on District 1’s Nguyen Van Binh Book Street.

Twenty-nine new book titles from writerssuch as Pham Phuong Thao, Nguyen Dinh Tu, An Chi, Huynh Ngoc Trang and NguyenThi Hau will be introduced during the Book Week.

Two titles have been published just in timeto celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Russian Revolution (1907 – 1917).

According to the organisers, a discount isapplied to both hard copies and e-books in an effort to encourage more peopleto read.

In addition to displaying books, twomeetings with writers Nguyen Dinh Tu and Nguyen Thi Hau will be held.

The event welcomes visitors until October28.-VNA
