Five teamsare participating in the tournament, including the host Becamex Binh Duong, V-Leaguechampions Quang Nam, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Vasco de Gama from Brazil and Korean Studentsfrom the Republic of Korea.
Theteams will compete in a round robin format with the top two qualifying for thefinal. The third and fourth squads will vie for the bronze medal.
Thechampions will get the Cup and a cash prize worth 500 million VND (22,000 USD),while the runner-ups and the third prize winners will receive 300 million VND(13,200 USD) and 150 million VND (6,600 USD), respectively.
Thehost Becamex Binh Duong beat Korean Students 3-1 in the second match after the openingceremony.
Earlier,Hoang Anh Gia Lai defeated V-League champions Quang Nam 2-1 in the first matchof the tournament, which will finish on February 4. -VNA

Bangu Atletico Club of Brazil on November 15 defeated the former Korean student champions of the International Football Tournament – Binh Duong Television Number One Cup.
This year’s tournament has gathered over 300 coaches, athletes, and referees from 18 countries and territories, competing in 28 combat weight categories and eight performance categories. Vietnam’s team has 50 athletes, including six from Thai Nguyen province.
It is the first time that the country is to hold a G1-level tournament which is expected to lure more than 100 athletes of 15 countries and regions at Go Vap Gymnasium.
