Buddha's 2567th birthday celebrated in Ninh Binh province
The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in coordination with the executive board of the VBS in the northern province of Ninh Binh celebrated Buddha's 2567th birthday with a ceremony held at Bai Dinh Pagoda.

Ninh Binh (VNA) – The Vietnam Buddhist Sangha(VBS) in coordination with the executive board of the VBS in the northernprovince of Ninh Binh celebrated Buddha's 2567th birthday with a ceremony heldat Bai Dinh Pagoda.

Do Anh Viet, head of the provincial Party Committee’smass mobilisation board and President of the Vietnam Fatherland FrontCommittee in Ninh Binh province, extended his congratulations to dignitaries, monksand nuns, and people on Buddha's birthday.
He attributed Ninh Binh’s comprehensive achievementsto contributions of religious organisations in the province, including the VBS’sNinh Binh chapter.
The official noted his hope that the provincialchapter and each Buddhist monk and nun will materialise the message of the VBS’sSupreme Patriarch by specific, practical actions./.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Hue Nghiem and Minh Dao pagodas in Ho Chi Minh City on May 14 on the occasion of Lord Buddha’s 2,566th birthday, extending his greetings to local Buddhist dignitaries and followers.
Situated approximately 40 km from the centre of Hanoi, Khai Nguyen Pagoda (also known as Tan Vien Pagoda) is an ancient site located in Son Dong commune in Son Tay district. It dates back to the Ly Dynasty, which was established in the first half of the 11th century. The pagoda is renowned for having the largest Buddha statue in the area, standing at an impressive 72 metres.
