HCM City (VNA) – Nearly 500 art works, books and documents as well as tools featuring Buddhist cultural values are on display at an exhibition which opened at Pho Quang Pago🍨da, Tan Binh district𒀰, Ho Chi Minh City on May 13.
The exhibition, held by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s HCM City chapter, is part of the activities to celebrate the Buddha’s 2560th birth anniversary, which falls on May 15 (the 8th day of the fourth lunar month).
The chapter also organised a display of paintings and sculptures themed “Buddhism and the environment”, depicting people living in harmony with nature and a green environment.
Visitors have a chance to better their understanding about Buddhist spiritual life and philosophy through 100 art works by 12 domestic and foreign painters.
Venerable Thich Nhat Tu from the VBS’s HCM City chapter said that all activities held on the occasion spotlight environment protection, calling for public involvement in conserving the nature.
