Bulgaria’s National Liberation Day marked in HCM City
A get-together to celebrate the 141st anniversary of the National Liberation Day of Bulgaria (March 3, 1878-2019) was held by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organization (HUFO) in the city on March 1.

In her speech at the event, HUFO Chairwoman Hoang Thai Lan highlighted the closerelations between Vietnam and Bulgaria over the past 69 years since the twosides established their bilateral diplomatic ties.
TheGovernments and peoples of the two countries have incessantly nurtured thetraditional friendship across fields of politics, diplomacy, culture, science,education, and security-defence, she said.
The HUFO will work to maintain and further develop the relations for thebenefit of both nations, she stressed.
On the occasion, Bulgarian Ambassador to Vietnam Marinela Petkova sent a letterto the meeting, expressing her gratitude and appreciation for the HUFO’s organizationof the get-together.
She also thanked members of the friendship organisation, Vietnamese officialsand students who worked and studied in Bulgaria for their efforts to connect thepeoples of the two countries, as well as their contributions to the developmentof the bilateral ties in recent times.-VNA
