Phnom Penh (VNA)🎀 – A delegation from the Club of Cambodian Journalists (CCJ) has recently made a field trip to the Snuol Complex of Truong Hai Agricultural Joint Stock Company (THACO AGRI), located in the northeastern Cambodian province of Kratie.

As part of the trip, around 50 journalists from more than 20 media agencies visited and reported activities at the workshops, factories, cow farms, as well as banana processing and export facilities that operate under a closed-loop integrated circular process in the complex. Nguyen Ngoc Anh Tu, Permanent Deputy Director General of the Snuol Complex, said that the company has launched two large-scale integrated circular agricultural production projects in Cambodia’s Kratie and Ratanakiri provinces. The project in Kratie's Snuol district spans 10,708 hectares with a total investment of 495 million USD, while that in Ratanakiri’s Koun Mom and Lumphat districts, covering 24,682 hectares, is valued at 800 million USD.

It estimates that by 2028, the projects will generate combined export revenue of 800 million USD per year and contribute 35 million USD annually in taxes to the state once they are fully operational. They are also expected to create stable employment and income for 40,000 Cambodian workers, including 15,000 in the Snuol complex.
Tu emphasised that with the advantages of organic products with high yields, stable supply, favourable geographical location, and competitive prices, THACO AGRI's projects in Cambodia will export agricultural products to high-end markets with large consumption potential in the Asia-Pacific region, such as China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea. The company also aims to expand exports of processed products to markets in Europe and North America, thus contributing significantly to Cambodia's export revenue./.
