Cao Bang (VNA) – The Pac Bo festival 2019, the first of its kind, will be organised inthe northern mountainous province of Cao Bang on March 6.
The festival isdesigned to raise public awareness about the country’s revolutionary cause andhistory, as well as honour traditional cultural values and promote localtourism.
It will includean array of activities, including a water procession and offering ritual at a templededicated to President Ho Chi Minh, folk art performances, cake making contestand traditional sport competitions, among others.
The event ishoped to help local people restore and conserve traditional cultural values,promote images of the UNESCO-recognised Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark, therebyfostering the province’s tourism.
Pac Bohistorical relic is closely connected to revolutionary activities of PresidentHo Chi Minh, particularly when he returned home from abroad through Truong Hacommune of Ha Quang district in early 1941.-VNA
Non Nuoc Cao Bang Geopark in the northern border province of Cao Bang was recognised as a global geopark by the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council in Paris on April 12.
The northern mountainous province of Cao Bang has fulfilled half of the requirements for infrastructure construction at the Non Nuoc Cao Bang Global Geopark by the United Nations Organisation for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO), experts said on August 9.
