Thua Thien – Hue (VNA) – The central province of Thua Thien – Hue has decided t﷽o invest over 68 billion VND (3.1 million USD) to increase its environment monitoring competence, contributing to environment management in the locality a💧nd vicinities.

Accordingly, the province has developed a system which is comprehensive and in line with the national monitoring network. The system also meets the requirements in environmental management, forecasting, pollution control and environmental protection in the new era. Initially, the province has focused on implementing major tasks, including building an environment and natural resources monitoring network; improving professional skills for officials in the field; and installing new equipment and facilities for monitoring activities. The province’s environmental monitoring network has surveyed and studied samples of fresh water, sea water, and fish in a timely manner to determine the reason for the massive fish death in the province recently, and serve aquacultural farming, aquatic reservation and leisure activities in the locality.-VNA
