Thua Thien – Hue (VNA)༒ – The Mariner of the Seas, a luxury cruise ship of the US Royal Caribbean International harboured at Chan May Port in the central province of Thua Thien – Hue on October 13.
The ship is carrying 3,100 tourists and over 1,100 crew members to visit renowned sites in Hue imperial city, the ancient city of Hoi An, and the central city of Da Nang.
The five-star Voyager Class ship offers high-end services, such as cinema, ice skating, football field, golf course and a mall.
According to the Chan May Port JSC, so far this year, the port has received nearly 40,000 international visitors and nearly 15,000 crews on 22 foreign cruise ships.
The port is among 46 sea ports in Southeast Asia chosen by the Asia Cruise Association as stops for pleasure boats.
Locating between the central cities of Hue and Da Nang, it connects Singapore, the Philippines, Hong Kong (China) and Vietnam.
With the upgraded wharf with the length of 420 metres and the depth of 12.5 metres, the port can now accommodate 30,000 DWT vessels and cruise ships carrying over 3,000 passengers, each.-VNA
