Hanoi (VNA)🐽 – Thecherry blossom festival kicked off at Ly Thai To Park, Hanoi, on March 10,attracting many visitors.
Prominent attendees at the openingceremony included Secretary of the municipal PartyCommittee Hoang Trung Hai, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee NguyenDuc Chung and Isao Iijima, a special advisor to Japanese Prime Minister ShinzoAbe.
Addressing theceremony, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Doan Toansaid that the cultural exchange activities and cherry blossom festival in Hanoiaim to enhance mutual understanding and deepen the two countries’ extensive strategicpartnership. It also promotes images and beauty of Japan to Hanoi’s people, headded. On the occasion,Japan also presented a fire truck as a gift to Hanoi. As many as 1,200blossom branches and 50 cherry trees were on display, along with various typesof flowers planted in Vietnam such as orchids and roses. Several artperformances featuring Vietnamese and Japanese artists were held at the event,along with a showcase of ao dai (Vietnamese traditional dress). The festival is co-organisedby the People’s Committee ofHanoi, the Wanokai International Culture Association (WICA) from Japan, and theAIC Company. It runs until March 12.-VNA
The cherry – Yen Tu yellow apricot blossom festival is to be held in Ha Long city, the northern province of Quang Ninh on March 11-15, the organising board said at a press conference on February 23.
As many as 150 cherry blossom trees and 7,000 cherry blossom branches imported from Japan will be put on show in Hanoi as part of a Japanese cultural exchange in Hanoi slated for March 10 – 12.

The Vietnamese team will gather on June 26 in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, where they will train until July 14 before departing for Indonesia for the ASEAN U23 Championship 2025, which runs from July 15 to 29. Vietnam will face Laos on July 19 and Cambodia on July 22 in the group stage.
The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.

For the first time, Vietnamese audiences will have the opportunity to experience the ballet masterpiece "Don Quixote" in its original version by renowned choreographer Marius Petipa.

This marks the first time Vietnam has hosted a continental-level Muay event which will feature competitions across 28 weight categories in combat and eight performance categories.
Coming to the Vietnamese booth, visitors had the chance to take part in a bamboo dance, a workshop on painting woven bamboo or rattan, or quizzes about Vietnam.
