Hanoi (VNA) – An exhibition of 65 aerospace paintings by Vietnamesechildren opened in Hanoi on April 17 to mark Russia Cosmonaut Day (April 12).
The event was held by the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Vietnam,Hanoi Children’s Palace Arts and Culture and the Hanoi Union of FriendshipOrganisations.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, acting director of the Russian Centre ofScience and Culture in Vietnam Natalya Shafinskaia stressed that it isnecessary to ignite children’s passion for astrology to continue exploringspace.
Children’s vivid imaginations were shown in the exhibition, she said, addingthat outstanding paintings will be printed in a book called “way to the stars”.
At the event, documentary films about first woman in space Valentina Tereshkovaand first Vietnamese in space Pham Tuan were screened.
The exhibition will run until April 21. Awards will be presented for the bestpaintings the same day.-VNA

In recent decades, Vietnam’s mainstream media has become a reliable and persuasive channel for showcasing the nation’s development policies and achievements, especially in economic matters, according to a senior assistant editor at the Times of India.
A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
