Collections to be displayed online for International Museum Day
Museums in Vietnam will hold various activities to celebrate International Museum Day on May 18, following plans by the International Council of Museums (ICOM), according to a document recently issued by the culture ministry's Department of Cultural Heritage.

Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - Museums in Vietnam will hold various activities to celebrateInternational Museum Day on May 18, following plans by the InternationalCouncil of Museums (ICOM), according to a document recently issued by theculture ministry's Department of Cultural Heritage.
This year, ICOM chose the theme Museums for Equality: Diversity and Inclusionto honour the diversity of the museums and their staff.
With this theme, ICOM encourages museums worldwide to collaborate to create acommon connection between the future and tradition. At the same time, ICOM alsoencourages museums to introduce their activities to the public under specificinstructions that can be found at
The Hanoi Department of Tourism and the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group’s Hanoi branch (VNPT Hanoi) have worked together to carry out a smart tourism project with a view to promoting the capital city’s non-smoke industry.

For the first time, the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has granted Vietnam hosting rights for the two championships, including the Asian women’s solo category, which debuts this year as an officially recognised event.
