Colourful culture of Gia Lai comes to Hanoi

A special programme featuring the culture of the Central Highland province of Gia Lai has been organised at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, aiming to introduce and promote the provincial culture to both domestic and foreign friends.

Hanoi (VNA) - A special programme featuring the culture of the Central Highlandprovince of Gia Lai has been organised at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology,aiming to introduce and promote the provincial culture to both domestic andforeign friends.

Artisansfrom Gia Lai province introduced to visitors its cultural characteristicsthrough several art activities including Gong performance, folk singing, anddancing, brocade weaving, among others.

Besides,visitors also had a chance to experience Gia Lai’s culture space through famousproduces.

Nguyen DucHoang, Deputy Chairman of Gia Lai province’s Department of Culture, Sports andTourism, the VietnamMuseum of Ethnology has two special areas, including commune house of Banaethnic group, and sepulcher of the Gia Lai people, along with other activitiessuch as new rice festival of J’Rai people and new communal house of Banapeople. 

Onthe occasion, young visitors also had a chance to make folk toys of theMid-Autumn festival such as star-shaped lanterns./.
