Communication Minister greets Mexican news agency’s leader

Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son spoke highly of the cooperation between Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Mexican news agency NOTIMEX during a reception for visiting NOTIMEX Director General Alejandro Ramos Esquivel on September 25.
At the meeting, Minister Son hailed the two agencies’ collaboration in professional experience sharing and personnel training, and asked the two agencies to expand the exchange of information of mutual interests.
He expressed his hope that VNA and NOTIMEX will propose more initiatives to promote the other nation in their own country, contributing to boosting bilateral relations.
For his part, the NOTIMEX Director General said that his agency wants to increase the dissemination of information on Vietnam’s land and people to Mexican people to nurture the ties between the two nations.
On the same day, the NOTIMEX leader had a working session with VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi, who thanked NOTIMEX for creating favourable conditions for professional activities of VNA’s correspondents in Mexico.
The VNA General Director noted that there is great interest about Latin America in Vietnam and the VNA has opened three bureaus in the region.
VNA and NOTIMEX established cooperation relations in 1997 after VNA opened its bureau in Mexico City.
According to a cooperation agreement signed in July this year, the two news agencies provide each other with news, press photos and video clips.-VNA
A delegation from the Communist Review, the publication of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, visited Mexico from December 10-12 to exchange publication and popularisation experience with Mexican political parties.
At an invitation of the Labour Party of Mexico (PT), Deputy General Director of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Dinh Dang Quang made a working visit to Mexico from September 9-14 to further strengthen bilateral friendship and cooperation.

The country is willing to participate in collective efforts to promote cooperation and mobilise resources to advance the current priority issues of developing countries, such as trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, making the most of scientific and technological advances for development, and people-to-people exchanges, Hang said.
During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
