Hanoi (VNA) – Compulsory registration will be applied f🌠or electric motorbikes from December 6 following the Ministry of Public Security’s Circular 54.

After June 30, 2016 owners of unregistered electric motorbikes will be fined, according to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Manh Hung from the Hanoi Traffic Police Department. Fines will range from 80,000 VND (3.60 USD) to 1 million VND (45.50 USD) with other supplementary penalties such as seizing vehicle registration certificate, unregulated number plate, and even the vehicle. More than 120 traffic accidents were reported in Hanoi in November, killing 49 people and injuring over 120 others.-VNA
