Congratulations extended to new term Chinese leaders
Vietnamese Party, State and National Assembly leaders on March 10 cabled messages of congratulations to Chinese leaders, who were freshly elected at the first session of 14th National People's Congress (NPC).

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese Party, State and National Assembly leaders on March 10 cabled messages of congratulations to Chinese leaders, who were freshly elected at the first session of 14th National People's Congress (NPC).
General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam's Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong; and State President and Chairman of the Council of National Defence and Security Vo Van Thuong extended their congratulations to Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China’s Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and Chairman of the PRC Central Military Commission.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue congratulated Zhao Leji, Chairman of the 14th NPC Standing Committee.
On the occasion, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan also sent a congratulatory message to her Chinese counterpart Han Zheng./.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son hosted a reception for the Secretary of the Party Committee of China’s Hainan province, Shen Xiaoming, in Hanoi on February 22.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on February 22 suggested China’s Hainan province enhance its exchange and cooperation with Vietnamese ministries, agencies and localities, particularly Ho Chi Minh City and the northern province of Quang Ninh.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang on March 8 received Ye Liaoning, Chairman of the Sunny Optical Technology Group of China, which is currently investing in the northern province of Thai Nguyen.

The country is willing to participate in collective efforts to promote cooperation and mobilise resources to advance the current priority issues of developing countries, such as trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, making the most of scientific and technological advances for development, and people-to-people exchanges, Hang said.
During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
