They made the point when joining the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy inThailand, Vietnamese lawyers, and overseas Vietnamese students in adiscussion on the draft amendments to the 1992 Constitution of Vietnamin Bangkok on March 21.
They pointed to the Party’s closebond with the nation and its tested driving power to rally the entirenation’s strength in developing the country towards progress, democracyand civilization, expressing their confidence in the Party’s leadershipin the national construction and defence.
Many said the draftamendments to the Constitution are positive, creating an important legalfoundation for the homeland’s development while highlighting democracy,human rights, and citizens’ rights in all fields.
Vietnamese Ambassador Ngo Duc Thang said he expects the event helped theVietnamese community in Thailand better understand the contents aswell as significance of the work of amending the 1992 Constitution.
He stressed that the issues raised in the draft Constitutionamendments are important to the country’s future development,construction and defence orientations.-VNA
