Countries, citizens worldwide honour President Ho Chi Minh’s life, revolutionary career
Philip Fernandez, a member of the Canada-Vietnam Friendship Society (CVFS), has highlighted the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh during an interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency on the occasion of the 133rd birth anniversary of the late leader (May 19, 1890 – 2023).

Ottawa (VNA) –Philip Fernandez, a member of the Canada-Vietnam Friendship Society (CVFS), has highlightedthe life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh during an interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency on the occasion of the 133rdbirth anniversary of the late leader (May 19, 1890 – 2023).
According to Fernandez,UNESCO hounoured late PresidentHo Chi Minh as one of the great men of humanity, while countries and peoples worldwide also honorured his life and revolutionarycareer, and these remembrances are great reminders of his greatness.
He emphasised that theCVFS deeply respects President Ho Chi Minh who led the Vietnam in the fight fornational liberation, and wrote an indomitable page in the history of human strugglefor a world without oppression, exploitation and war.
Vietnam is closely followingPresident Ho Chi Minh’s diplomatic policy in international relations and therelationship with Canada in particular, he said.
President Ho Chi Minh's foreign policy is based on the principle ofnon-interference in internal affairs of other countries; and recognising independence,sovereignty and self-determination of nations, he noted.
The flexibleand adaptable foreign policy was based on principles for world peace and socialprogress, he added.
He showed his pleasureat the closer relations between Vietnam and Canada in recent years, expressingthe hope that the trend will be maintained and further developed in the future.
Achieving nationalindependence under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh and the CommunistParty of Vietnam he founded helped the Vietnamese people master and buildtheir own future, he said.
ꦫ Vietnam also plays an importantrole in protecting independence and sovereignty of all countries in theUnited Nations (UN) as well as in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN), Fernandez stressed./.
Under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), with the legacy left by President Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam has made great achievements in its national reconstruction over the past 48 years, said Philip Fernandez, an active member of the Canada-Vietnam Friendship Society.
The Hanoi chapter of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association on May 12 held a workshop on President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities in Russia and at K9 relic site in Hanoi's outlying district of Ba Vi.

In recent decades, Vietnam’s mainstream media has become a reliable and persuasive channel for showcasing the nation’s development policies and achievements, especially in economic matters, according to a senior assistant editor at the Times of India.
A hub for sharing best practices, the event aims to forge solutions for financial sustainability, public media contracts, audience engagement, content innovation, and newsroom restructuring. It is also a moment for Vietnam’s media to accelerate its progress and figure out what the “revolutionary press” means in a new era.
From “Thanh nien”, Vietnam’s first revolutionary newspaper founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (later President Ho Chi Minh) on June 21, 1925, the revolutionary press has remained devoted to its sacred missions -accompanying the nation, serving the Fatherland, and working for the people.
