Da Lat improves customer experiences with free music shows on public trains

Lam Dong (VNA) – Train cars in the Central Highlands city of DaLat are now offering freeღ music performances in an attempt to improve customer experiences for passengers,especially foreign tourists, said Vo Minh Chanh, Chief of D♈a Lat RailwayStation on November 27.
The music performances aim to mark the 130th founding anniversary ofthe city and celebrate the United Nations Educational, Scientific andCultural Organisation (UNESCO)’s recognition of Da Lat as a creative city in the field of music. Passengers will have a chance to enjoy songs about the locality and famous foreign music pieces by professional artists whilecontemplating the poetic beauty of the “dreamy” city throughout the journey fromDa Lat station to Trai Mat and vice versa. The Da Lat Railway Station is a charming and unique architectural structure, a perfect combination of Western architecture and the traditional Vietnamese communal house design. In 2001, the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Tourism recognised the station as a national architectural relic. It is also an attractive tourist attraction for domesticand foreign tourists in the city. In particular, the 7km long touristrailway, running from Da Lat centre to Trai Mat station attracts many tourists to its antique carriage system. On average, there arefour Da Lat – Trai Mat trains that serve more than 1,000 passengersa day./.
An art and fashion show has been held in the central highlands’ city of Da Lat to celebrate its 130th anniversary, enthralling the audience with tales of the city’s rich culture and history.
The Central Highlands resort city is exerting efforts to become a "Green Paradise" with attractions such as eco-tourism and health tourism in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, focusing on intelligent tourism.
Two additional cities in Vietnam have been designated recently as UNESCO Creative Cities - Da Lat in the Central Highlands’ province of Lam Dong in term of music and Hoi An ancient town in the central province of Quang Nam in crafts and folk art. Vietnam now has three cities in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN).
Da Lat city in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong expects to welcome some 190,000 visitors, including 8,000 foreigners, during the upcoming Vietnam Film Festival in the locality.
