Da Nang is ready for the fifth Asian Beach Games (ABG 5), which will take place from September 24 to October 3, said Dang Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang city People’s Committee.

Da Nang (VNA)😼 – Da Nang is ready for the fifth Asian Beach Games (ABG 5), which will take place from September 24 to October 3, said Dang Viet Dung, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang city People’s Committee.

Dung, who is also head of the organising committees, said all subcommittees are in a hurry to complete tasks, adding that the city’s Department of Information prepared all necessary facilities to ensure smooth communication during the games.
The protocol subcommittee recruited and trained 1,530 volunteers and arranged accommodations for officials and athletes. Meanwhile, the city’s Department of Tourism plans to hold seventeen supporting events for officials and athletes to enjoy during the games.
The opening ceremony will take place at 20:00 on September 24. The ABG 5 has 14 sports with 22 events. Vietnam competes in all 14 sports and aims for one of leading places on the medal table.-VNA
