Da Nang shines on fireworks festival’s opening night

The 2017 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) kicked off in the central city on April 30, drawing eight teams from Italy, Austria, China, Japan, the UK, Australia, Switzerland and Vietnam.

Da Nang (VNA) – The 2017 Da Nang InternationalFireworks Festival (DIFF) kicked off in the central city on April 30, drawingeight teams from Italy, Austria, China, Japan, the UK, Australia, Switzerlandand Vietnam.

Themed “Shining with Mable Mountains”, this year’s eventwill last until June 26 with five main programmes named Fire, Earth, Metal,Water and Wood organised on five Saturdays (April 30, May 20, May 27, June 3and June 24).

The highlight of the “Fire” opening night was the twofirework displays of host Da Nang and Fireevent Die Feuerwerker from Austria.

Spectators were also offered a chance to witness traditionaland modern art performances being meticulously arranged and performed by famedartists namely  eminent artist Cao Minh,choreographers people’s artist Bach Hac, Mai Trung and Dieu Hy, and M4U musicband, and hundreds of artists from theatres and art troupes throughout thecountry.

Austria brought the horn-blowing and flag dance performancesto the “Fire” night as well.

Within the framework of the DIFF 2017, a number of festivalswill be concurrently held such as a street festival with nine uniquely designedfloats, a cuisine space with over 500 dishes bearing each country’s specifictraits as well as other enticing and jubilant events.

Da Nang expects to welcome around 2 million tourists duringthe two-month  event.-VNA

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.

Vietnam take silver in AFF U19 Final
