Da Nang yacht welcomed by ambassador in Cape Town

The crew members of the Da Nang yacht, which is visiting Cape Town, South Africa, were welcomed by Vietnam’s Ambassador to South Africa Le Huy Hoang.

The yacht is taking part in the famous Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, the longest ocean race around the planet with over 40,000 nautical miles

The Da Nang yacht’s 26-member crew of different nationalities including Australia, the United Kingdom, Singapore, the United States, Sweden and Colombia were introduced to Da Nang city, its social-economic achievements and tourism and cultural appeals.

The ambassador congratulated the team on its encouraging results in the two first stages and presented them with gifts.

He said the yacht and its international sailors are helping promote tourism and attract investment for the commercial growth of Da Nang.

The team will leave Cape Town on October 31 to sail to Australia and other countries b꧑efore arriving in Da Nang in February 2016.-VNA
