Hanoi (VNA) - A Vietnamese delegation led by Defence Minister General ✃Ngo Xuan Lich attended the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) Retreat in Vientiane, Laos, from November 15-17 at the invitation from the Lao Defence Ministry.

The delegation will also attend an informal meeting of ASEAN-Japan defence ministers on this occasion. The delegation’s participation in the event continues showing Vietnam’s active, proactive and responsible role within the framework of the ADMM and the ASEAN Defence Minister’s Meeting Plus (ADMM+) to accelerate the implementation of initiatives within the ASEAN Defence cooperation framework. Vietnam has continuously supported Laos’ ASEAN Chairmanship, contributing to promoting the traditional friendship and special solidarity between the two nations’ armies and people.-VNA
