Hanoi (VNA) – Minister of Defence General Phung Quang Thanh has affirmed that defence cooperation that has developed broadly over the past years deserves one of the important pillars of Vietnam– Cambodia traditional friendship.
He hosted a visiting Cambodian delegation led by Interior Ministry Secretary of State Em Sam-an in Hanoi on November 26.
General Thanh spoke highly of the cooperation in the cipher sector, especially in training officials, experts and technical support and fully agreed with the signing of the cooperation plan in the field in 2016.
In the current context, the cipher sector plays an important role in ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality and timeliness of information.
Vietnam’s Ministry of Defence always creates favourable conditions for the two cipher agencies’ efficient cooperation, serving the respective security-defence cause.
♉ The two sides should discuss specific measures to improve their consultancy to the Ministries of Defence, Home Affairs and Governments regarding the management of the cipher sector, he said.
General Em Sam-an said he believes the cipher sectors would achieve important developments and contribute to boosting solidarity, neighbourliness, traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries’ people and armed forces.-VNA
