Hanoi (VNA) – Defence Minister Gen. Ngo XuanLich spoke highly of contributions of outgoing Chinese Ambassador to VietnamHong Xiaoyong during a reception in Hanoi on February 7.
Lich said the ambassador has served as a bridge connectingthe two Parties, States, governments and peoples during his tenure, includingbilateral defence ties which have become a pillar in Vietnam – China diplomaticrelations.
Minister Lich believed that the ambassador would continuemaking important contributions to boosting ties between the two nations andbilateral defence link in particular.
Hong, for his part, thanked the minister for creatingfavourable conditions for the Chinese embassy and himself to accomplishassigned tasks.
He vowed to take specific actions to contribute to thedevelopment of friendship and comprehensive partnership between the twonations.-VNA
