Defence Minister to attend informal ASEAN-US defence chief meeting
Minister of National Defence General Ngo Xuan Lich will attend an meeting of ASEAN-US defence ministers in Hawaii from September 29 to October 1 at the invitation of the US Secretary of Defense.

Hanoi (VNA) – Minister of National Defence General Ngo Xuan Lich will attend an informal meeting of ASEAN-US defence ministers in Hawaii😼 from September 29 to October 1 at the invitation of the US Secretary of Defense.
The participation is meant to display Vietnam’s pro-activeness and responsibility in ASEAN’s activities.
The trip is also aimed at promotingꦰ bilateral defence relations through talks and meetings to be held on the sidelines of the meeting, as well as showing support for Laos, the Chair of ASEAN 2016, which coordinates the meeting.-VNA
