Deputy minister receives outgoing, new Russian defence attaché

Chienrecalled the success of the Russia visit by Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phucfrom November 29 – December 2, 2021 and talks between the two defence ministersduring the visit, which he said, made important contributions to furtherreinforcing bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership in which defence tiesplay a pillar role.
He said despite the COVID-19 pandemic, bilateral defencebonds have been further deepened in various areas, notably the exchange of politicaland defence policies, reward for the two ministries’ leaders and officials,personnel training, multilateral activities held by the two ministries,scientific research and military technical cooperation.
The host wished that in any position, Boytsov would continue making active contributions to bilateralties and ties between the two ministries in particular.
He also suggested the new Russian defence attaché Col. Arkadievichwork closely with Vietnamese authorities to effectively realise majororientations and priorities in defence ties set by the two ministers during thetalks on December 1, 2021.

The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
The ministry has instructed Vietnamese representative agencies in Israel, Iran, as well as those in neighbouring countries, to closely monitor the situation and request local authorities to ensure absolute safety for Vietnamese citizens living, studying, and working in high-risk areas.
