Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on August 3 urged the European Union (EU) to consider removing the “yellow card” warning on Vietnamese seafood at an early date.

Singapore (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister andForeign Minister Pham Binh Minh on August 3 urged the European Union (EU) toconsider removing the “yellow card” warning on Vietnamese seafood at an earlydate.

He made the request during a meeting with EU HighRepresentative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini onthe sidelines of the 51st ASEAN Ministerial Meeting and related meetingsin Singapore.

The Deputy PM affirmed that Vietnam has been working to dealwith illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.

He also asked both sides to continue working closelytogether to soon complete negotiations towards signing a Free Trade Agreementand Investment Protection Agreement.-VNA
