Hanoi (VNA) – The lotus flower andNgu Hanh Son Mountain in the central city of Da Nang have been chosen asdesigns for postage stamps celebrating the APEC Year 2017 in Vietnam.
The decision was made at a meeting chaired byDeputy Minister of Information and Telecommunication Nguyen Thanh Hung in Hanoion August 16.
The lotus flower represents the culture and thecharacteristics of Vietnamese people and symbolises the strength, will andbelief of the nation.
Meanwhile, the Ngu Hanh Son Mountain (MarbleMountains) is a famous destination of Da Nang city, where the APEC EconomicLeaders’ Meeting 2017 will be held this November.

The designs were the work of two painters ToMinh Trang and Pham Quang Dieu.
The APEC logo will also be printed on the stamps.
The Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group(VNPT) will soon complete the stamp designs and submit to the postage stampapproval council.-VNA
