Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi police onAugust 23 announced that 🔯two men were recently detained for drug trafficking.
At the apartment in Hai Ba Trung districtof Pham Anh Tuan, born in 1975, police seized nine heroin bricks, 7,000synthetic drug pills weighing about 2.5 kg, one pistol, seven bullets, one car,27 mobile phones and 130 million VND (5,600 USD), among others. Duong Thanh Tung, age 38, was arrestedfollowing further investigation. The arrestees involved in a ring smugglinglarge hauls of drug to Hanoi from other localities. Tuan is wanted for variouscharges, including murder and illegal possession of military weapon. The case is being further investigated./.
Police in the northern border province of Lao Cai said on August 3 that they have broken down a drug trafficking ring, seizing three suspects and 84,800 tablets of meth.
The Border Guard in the central province of Quang Tri worked with security forces in Laos’ Savannakhet province to arrest five Lao suspects as a result of an expanded investigation into a ring trafficking drugs from Laos to Vietnam.
