Echo electronics resound in Hanoi

Numerous international and Vietnamese electronic and experimental music artists will congregate and perform at a music concert during the annual Hanoi Sound Stuff Festival, taking place from April 9 to 11 in Hanoi.

Musicianand member of the organising board Minh Tri said famous Vietnameseexpat artists will converge at the event, including Chi Thanh, nominatedfor the Latin Grammy Award for Best Rock Song, and Chi Thien, a musicproducer and remixer.

He said that Vanessa Van Anh Vo, apassionate and talented traditional Vietnamese instrumentalist andcomposer, will also participate in the event.

She was responsible for the 2009 Emmy Award–winning soundtrack for the documentary “Bolinao 52”.

The eighth season of the Festival aspires to bring creative performances and new electronic sounds to the audience.

Initiatedby Minh Tri since 2008, the Festival has drawn the participation of themost talented electronic and experimental music artists worldwide.

Inaddition, numerous programmes are scheduled in the framework of theFestival, comprising a street-art performance by Julian Vogel, a talk onGerman electronic music and a conference on electronic music products.

The event will take place at Manzi Art Space, Hanoi Creativity City and the Culture and Arts Exhibition Centre.-VNA
